ILLINOIS FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT REQUESTS (FOIA)
Most of the records maintained by the District are open for inspection and/or copying through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) (5 ILCS 140/1 et.seq) and are posted on our website. If the information you are seeking is not contained in those posted documents you may request copies of existing documents by submitting your request in writing to one of the following district FOIA officers: Dr. Gwynne Kell, Superintendent Winfield School District 34 0S150 Winfield Road Winfield, IL 60190 630-909-4989 gkell@winfield34.org Maureen Panzeca Winfield School District 34 0S150 Winfield Road Winfield, IL 60190 630-909-4901 mpanzeca@winfield34.org Your request must be provided in writing (mailed, faxed, or emailed) and while a form is not required we have provided the downloadable form (below) that may be used to submit your FOIA request. If you choose not to use the form, please make sure to include the following information in writing: Name, address or email address, brief description of the information being requested and if it is to be used for commercial purposes. Upon receipt of your request we have five business days to respond. An extension may be requested for reasons stated in 5 ILCS 140/3(e)(i-vii). If the requested records are 50 pages or less, the pages will be copied and mailed to the requestor. If the records exceed 50 pages, the requester will be informed of the duplication cost, which must be received prior to mailing.
