Winfield School District 34 has been awarded the 2012 SchoolSearch Bright Red Apple Award. 
 
 
Winfield Central School has been awarded the Academic Excellence Award by the Illinois State Board of Education.  This award is given to elementary schools where "at least 90% of students met or exceeded state standards both in reading and in mathematics for at least 3 consecutive years."
