February Student Recognition

Two students were recognized at the February School Board Meeting - Ross Behr and Cayla Fuechsl.

As a student, Ross Behr has few counterparts.  Ross excels in the area of mathematics.  His learning path has created an atmosphere of collaboration and extreme "out of the box" thinking for the staff.  Although aware of his extraordinary gift, Ross remains a generous and cooperative learner.  According to staff members, "Ross excels in all details of being a student: on task, participates, leads and follows in group work with any combination of students."  Ross is seen as "insightful and asking good questions, conscientious and willing to do whatever needs to be done to complete a task."  Added to this list is a level of respect for staff and peers beyond what is normally seen of sixth grade students.

In addition to all of his academic talents, Ross also excels on the playing field  Most recently, he played on our sixth/seventh grade basketball team.  His skills in this area resulted in him supporting the eighth grade team at various times throughout the season.  The future holds unlimited possibilities for Ross.

Congratulations Ross for all of your hard work and commitment to your school.

Cayla represents many qualities educators look for in a learner.  She is respectful, cooperative, imaginative and dedicated to her studies.  In classroom settings, she is reported to "word hard and be encouraging to others."  Often soft spoken, Cayla is heard through her actions and commitment.  Cayla has an inner self-confidence that is expressed in a variety of ways.  Her sense of style represents that confidence and could potentially be an area of future growth as well as a career path for Cayla.

Cayla is an active member of our Central Concert band.  She dedicates herself to being prepared and honing her skills; both musically and academically.  Cayla's maturation and student centered qualities make her an excellent member of each classroom and activity she supports.  The staff recognizes and appreciates the learning characteristics Cayla demonstrates on a daily basis.

Contratulations Cayla for all of your hard work and continual commitment to your school.
