Two students were recognized at the January School Board Meeting - Isabella Guizzetti and John Kulikowski.

 

Isabella has transitioned to the Middle School wonderfully.  She is dedicated to her studies and works to ensure she stretches her thinking on a daily basis.  Isabella is the student teachers can rely on to have a well thought out opinion and then lead a discussion gathering others insights along the way.  Isabella is a reader!  She devours books and engages others in discussions related to theme, character development and genre study.  Isabella is the one student who reads every Rebecca Caudill book each year!

 

Isabella is very involved in a variety of extra-curricular activites.  From servies as editor-in-chief of our school newspaper to dance lessons, Isabella puts her all into every endeavor she undertakes.  Her quick wit and sense of humor make Isabella an engaging debate partner; enjoyed frequently by her lunch table partners (and Mrs. Palgi) each day.  Faced with a great deal of person advesity, Isabella enters our school doors with a smile each day.  Staff members recognize her efforts as well as the positive attributes Isabella brings to a school setting.  It is our hope that Isabella recognizes these talents within herself.  We look forward to learning alongside her in the coming years.

John represents all of the qualities educators look for.  He is a dedicated student who applies himself to every subject area.  According to this teachers, John is the student who can work in any group.  "John bring knowledge of the subject area as well as application to current events to the classroom."  John is seen as a leader in both academic and extra-curricular activities.  John has taken part in soccer, basketball and track throughout his time

in our Middle School.  His talents provide leadership and direction for each team he has been a prat of.  Whether in the classroom or on the playing field, John works to ensure that his peers are supported and included.

 

John provides insights to classroom discussions that are thought provoking and relevant.  His ongoing hard work and dedication to his academic success has resulted in an accelerated learning path.  This academic gift that John possesses is just one piece of what makes him such a stellar student.  The talents and skills he demonstrates on a daily basis make his future educational career limitless.
