Daniel Weber was recognized at the March 24 School Board Meeting.
Danny is a stellar student. He exceeds in all subject areas and continually searches for new and interesting ways to expand his learning. Danny is always willing to share and support the learning of his peers. No matter what the task, Danny is engaged and looking for ways to stretch his thinking. In addition to his strong academic skills, Danny also works outside of the school day to enrich his community. This past winter, Danny baked and then sold cookies to support an area homeless shelter. Danny represented his grade level in this years Geography Bee. No only did he become our District representative, but he moved forward to represent the entire state of Illinois. Danny's participation in Drama Club resulted in enjoyable performances for our students and families. Most recently, Danny, along with the entire fifth grade, created posters for the Nicor Energy Foundation. Danny's poster was recognized as a finalist from a pool of 1,300 students representing third through fifth grade. Danny was awarded a $200 savings bond, a pizza party for his class, and a commemorative plaque.
As we look to Danny moving onto the Middle School, the staff is excited by the never ending possibilities that are Danny's achievements. Congratulations Danny on all of your accomplishments; we look forward to what the future has in store for you.
