About Mr. Wdowiarz

Educational Philosophy:

  • The role of the educator is to encourage, foster, and assess the progression of the student into a positive and active citizen of their local, state, and national communities.

Favorite Quotes:

  • "In this living world, the body that I give up and burn would be wretched if I thought of myself as anything but firewood." - Ryonen
  • "We write our own destiny.  We become what we do." - A fortune cookie

Extracurricular Activities:

  • I enjoy spending time with my three boys.  I guitar play in and around the Chicagoland area in a number of different musical settings.  I like to read, exercise, work on my house, and watch movies.

BAND REGISTRATION

Joining band is an exciting and enriching experience; I'm glad you're here! Here is the registration form.  Please let Mr. Wdowiarz know if you have any questions or if you need any assistance!

DAILY MATERIALS FOR BAND AND GUITAR

Band students need to bring their instrument, music book, and music folder (grade 6-8) to school every time they have band. At times, students will also be asked to bring their school-provided iPad to band. Band students should take their instrument and music home to practice at home. If you or your student ever has questions about what to practice, please let Mr. Wdowiarz know!

BAND CONCERTS

All concerts are at 7:00pm in the gym at Winfield Central School, unless otherwise announced. Dress for band concerts is formal. Performing is a vital part of being a musician, and these concerts allow us the opportunity to do this. Additionally, in order for a musical ensemble to perform best, every member needs to be present and working as a team. Concerts are required for all band students, and students who cannot attend should notify Mr. Wdowiarz with as much advance notice as possible. If a student is unable to perform at a concert for any reason, there will be a make-up assignment given. If you or your child would like to volunteer to help with a band concert, let Mr. Wdowiarz know. We move equipment down to the gym after school on concert day, and also have one or two volunteers help supervise middle school students from 6:40pm-7:00pm. See below for concert dates:
